Ed Bejarano, Sr. Training Specialist/SME
Ed has more than 30 years of progressive training, experience and practice in the public safety and homeland security field. Prior to joining Bracken Engineering, Edward served in numerous public safety roles. He is a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy and Army Reserves (1966-1980). In 1972, after obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, he became a teacher and then promoted to a secondary school administrator. In 1980, he was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (1980-2004) and served for 24 years.
During his FBI service, he held these positions: Special Agent (SA)–Investigator (1980-1991), Assistant Legal Attaché-Canada (1991-1994), International Operations Unit Chief (1994-1996), Deputy Director of Operations-International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program-U.S. Department of Justice (ICITAP-DOJ) (1991-2001), Assistant Section Chief of the Analytical Section-National Infrastructure Protection Center (1999-2001), and Deputy Legal Attaché-Mexico (2001-2004). In 2014, he retired from the FBI and moved to the Tampa, Florida area.
